I pity the fool that don't see this movie.

Well, not really. It's pretty much a see-if-you-don't-really-want-to-think movie, but it's fun. I just said that because Mr. T has a cameo, and I'm all for the continued employment of Mr. T.

My hope for this film that it would be a fairly savage and brutally funny indictment of all these stupid, stupid teen flicks that have glutted the theaters in recent years, and while there was a good amount of cynicism and puncturing of certain constants in this genre, it wasn't as prevalent as I would have liked. Ah, well... there's only so much you can expect out of a goofy spoof movie.

What it DOES have going for it is an 'R' rating, which means it was allowed to be pretty nasty and balls-out in its humor - no lowballing the twisted comedy to appeal to minors. That's always a plus. There's some stuff in here that's pretty grody... and I might even go so far as saying it's grody to the max. I'm not positive about this assessment, as the maximum grody levels for one person might not be quite the same as the next person, but studies have shown that the max generally remains within a certain range, and the amount of grody in this movie definitely approaches that self-same max. I wouldn't say it EXCEEDS the max, though. Those recalling the 'cute girl takes nasty shit' scene might beg to differ, but one scene of intense grody does not necessarily take the grody levels all the way to the max. You have to spread that grody out over the entire span of the film to get an accurate assessment of the grody.

Anyway, there's fun to be had, but not as much as I'd have liked. And for some reason I feel bad about the Stupid Fat Guy. I was kinda hoping he'd wind up with Jaime Pressly at the end. That would have been comedy jokes. Poor Stupid Fat Guy. Having an insane Randy Quaid wandering around helps most films, though... "Independence Day" excluded.
